Did anyone else stay up last night to watch "The Walking Dead" season 3 premiere like me? or watch the entire second season to prepare for the new episode?
Anywho......
The door wreath went in 3 totally different directions before it settled into it's final form. The ribbon set the mood as playful and colourful. The image was stamped with black ink on unbaked polymer clay and cooked for about 20 minutes in a 230 F oven. (I'm using a leftover ceramic floor tile as my clay baking sheet)
The paper circles were cut using the Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle shapes to match the ribbon images. The plain white circles were edged with the green and orange inks. Due to the weight of the clay a hot glue gun was required. The circles were then hotglued to the grapevine wreath (easier said than done)
The yard sale Bowdabra finally made itself useful to create a poofy bow. Tada! Project complete and hung on the front door - too cutesy for my taste but I love the colours.
green ink: studio g
orange ink: ranger adirondack brights, sunset orange
image: craft smart (Michaels)
printed paper: My Minds Eye
polymer clay: Fimo Soft
circle and scalloped circle diecut: Spellbinders
ribbon: Celebrate It (Michaels)
grapevine wreath: Michaels

A very cute wreath! I love the bright colors and the fun pattern on the ribbon! Does it matter what kind of ink you stamp into the unbaked clay? I have memento, distress, and staz-on. Which type should I use if I want to try this? Thanks for the tip of baking on a ceramic tile :)
