31 days of Halloween - Day 17

Day 17 and life is getting busy but who needs sleep?

You know that noise you hear in the wee hours coming from the attic, the closet or the basement? This guy is the source of those noises, I caught this fella hiding in the laundry room (no, he was not helping with the laundry).

I have a 12 x 12" sheet of paper that is covered in drawings of glass jars, so I cut out two of them for this project. One of the jar drawings was for the back and a window was cut in the second for the front of the jar. The monster was stamped on acetate and mounted between the two jar cut outs. A tag tied around the jar with twine and some background paper finish off this card.

It's up to you what description should be checked off on the tag - scary, happy, silly, sweet or other.

p.s. Those are not fingerprints on the back jar paper, it is the design - Honestly.

background paper: My Mind's Eye
jar paper: American Crafts
image: My Little Monsters (Recollections)
tag: My Mind's Eye
ink: staz on gold
acetate, thread, cardstock: stash

Next stop on your journey is

  4. This is a super cool technique and apparently a pretty good trap too. Although I'm pretty sure sock monsters don't hunt alone but in pairs!!
