This is a project using a recycled item. An old barrette covered with denim fabric wasn't being worn so I decided to give it a new life.
The denim fabric covering the barrette clip was removed and replaced with white clay. (easier said than done) The skull was stamped on the clay and then i sprinkled some clear embossing powder over the image. When the clay baked the embossing powder melted over the whole clip which made it glossy - an unexpected surprise.
Unfortunately, the barrette dropped on the floor before we took the photo so you might notice the crack in the photos. If you can't see it, I won't tell you where it is.
Happy Thanksgiving, Gobble gobble.

p.s. In case you are wondering the gold glass object in the photos is a star shaped placecard holder that we are using to hold daily numbers. The numbers came from a sheet of paper given to me, thank you Terri. I'm using the numbers so I don't forget what day I am on and when I upload the photos I get the right ones to the correct post.
